Via the KIT Mobility Systems Center you have access to state of the art physical-virtual connected test fields and research facilities for mobile systems and connected systems (e.g. energy, infrastructure or traffic).
A significant focus are the test stations, which are connected via the SoS – Systems-of-Systems as well as the IPEK-XiL approach, in the field of drive systems and complete vehicle testing:
These are complemented adequately by the “Testfeld zum vernetzten und automatisierten Fahren” (test field for connected and automated driving) Baden-Württemberg and the “Landesinitiative zur Vernetzung der Forschungsaustattung im Bereich elektrischer Antriebssysteme (XiL-BWe)“ (state initiative for research equipment networking in the area of electrical drive systems).
The physically present equipment is completed by respective virtual simulation capabilities on all levels of the mobility system.
The KIT Center considers itself as a coordinating contact partner for interested parties from science and industry for the utilization of the present KIT infrastructure as well as development of innovative research and test facilities.
